Zumi policy

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 11, 2026. These terms describe the expected use of the Zumi website and marketplace services.

1. Overview

Zumi operates a marketplace that helps pet owners discover, book, and pay independent pet care providers. Zumi is not the provider of the pet care services listed by independent businesses or professionals on the platform.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Zumi. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping credentials secure, and all activity under your account.

3. Marketplace services

Providers are responsible for their service descriptions, pricing, availability, credentials, licenses, insurance, taxes, and performance of services. Pet owners are responsible for providing accurate pet, booking, access, safety, and care information.

4. Bookings and payments

Bookings must be requested and managed through Zumi. When payments are enabled, payment processing is handled by Stripe. Zumi may charge service, platform, or processing-related fees shown before checkout. Providers may receive payouts through Stripe Connect where available.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation and refund handling depends on the policy shown for the selected service and booking. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy for additional details.

6. User conduct

  • Do not use Zumi for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe activity.
  • Do not bypass the platform to avoid applicable fees or safety controls.
  • Do not upload harmful code, false information, or content that violates another party's rights.
  • Do not misuse messaging, reviews, payments, or support channels.

7. Content and reviews

Users may submit profile content, pet information, messages, photos, service listings, reviews, and other content. You remain responsible for your content and grant Zumi the rights needed to operate, display, protect, and improve the marketplace.

8. Safety and provider responsibility

Pet care involves judgment and risk. Providers must perform services professionally and comply with applicable laws and safety obligations. Pet owners must disclose relevant health, behavior, access, and emergency information before services begin.

9. Suspension and termination

Zumi may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe an account violates these terms, creates risk, causes harm, or may expose users, pets, providers, or Zumi to liability.

10. Disclaimers

The website and marketplace are provided as available. Zumi does not guarantee that every provider, booking, message, payment, or feature will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every expectation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Zumi is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for acts or omissions of independent providers or users.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as the marketplace evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
