Zumi policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026. This policy explains how Zumi collects, uses, and protects information for the Zumi website and marketplace services.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as name, email address, phone number, account details, pet care information, provider business details, booking requests, messages, and support inquiries.

When payments are enabled, card and payment method details are processed by Stripe. Zumi does not store full payment card numbers on its servers.

2. Information collected automatically

We may collect device, browser, IP address, page view, referral, cookie, and usage information to operate the website, protect accounts, understand marketplace activity, and improve the service.

We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and understand how visitors use Zumi. Google Analytics may collect usage data through cookies or similar technologies, including page views, browser and device information, approximate location, and interactions with the website.

3. How we use information

  • Provide accounts, marketplace listings, booking workflows, and customer support.
  • Process payments, refunds, provider onboarding, and related records through Stripe.
  • Send transactional emails, account notices, booking updates, and service messages.
  • Detect fraud, enforce policies, comply with legal requirements, and protect users and pets.
  • Improve the website, product experience, safety controls, and provider tools.

4. How we share information

We share information with service providers when needed to operate Zumi, including hosting providers, payment processors, email delivery providers, analytics tools, and customer support tools. We may share booking-related information between a customer and the provider selected for that booking.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Zumi may use cookies and similar technologies to keep sessions active, remember preferences, measure site usage, and protect the service. This includes analytics cookies from Google Analytics. Browser settings can limit cookies, but some features may not work correctly.

6. Email communications

Transactional emails may include booking confirmations, account notices, provider onboarding updates, payment receipts, and security messages. Marketing messages, if used, will include an unsubscribe option where required.

7. Data security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect account credentials and contact us about suspicious activity.

8. Data retention

We keep information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and maintain business records. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement.

9. Your choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or questions about your personal information. Some requests may require identity verification, and certain records may be retained when required for legal, safety, accounting, or dispute purposes.

10. Children

Zumi is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
